The Pacoima Development Federal Credit Union has helped many, including Alex Flores, who as a working father of 2 girls, was unable to get a used car loan because he had no credit history. With a construction job in Oxnard, it was vital that Alex have a car. The PDFCU was able to give him the loan at an interest rate of only 11%; something he could have never accomplished without our help. Another member, Gustavo Regin and his wife Adrianna were paying 21% on interest on their used auto loan, with good credit! The credit union refinanced their loan at its current rate of 11%.

The PDFCU offers much needed, equitable financial services in an area that has long been preyed upon by check cashers, pay day lenders and other fringe financial institutions. With the financial services that the credit union offers including free check cashing, reduced fees for wire transfers and access to financial education, we are breaking through the financial iron curtain that has long covered Latino communities such as the Northeast San Fernando Valley.
